Information We Collect

When you use Satisfait Là, we collect information you provide directly:

• Name and email address
• Appointment details (date, time, services selected)
• Phone number (if provided)
• Information your salon adds about you, such as private notes, visit history, and amounts spent, used to manage your appointments and client relationship.

Who Controls Your Data

When you book with a salon, that salon decides how your information is used; Satisfait Là processes it on the salon's behalf to provide the booking service. When you create a Satisfait Là account as a salon owner, Satisfait Là is responsible for your account information. Salon owners agree to data-processing terms in our Terms of Service.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Process and manage your appointments
• Send appointment reminders and confirmations
• Communicate with you about your bookings
• Maintain the security and reliability of the service

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices. We use Cloudflare for hosting and a managed PostgreSQL database for data storage. All data is encrypted in transit.

Data Retention

We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, then delete or anonymize it. Account and booking data is deleted within 30 days of account deletion, except records we must keep to meet legal and tax obligations. Our full retention schedule is available on request.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Stripe — for payment processing (we never store your credit card information)
• Resend — for sending email notifications and reminders
• Cloudflare — for hosting and content delivery
• Managed database hosting — for securely storing your account and booking data

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Some of these providers process or store data outside Quebec and Canada (for example, in the United States); we assess these transfers and require appropriate safeguards before sharing personal information with them.

Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to hold your cart during booking. We do not use advertising or analytics tracking.

Your Rights

You have the following rights over your personal information:

• Access, correct, or delete your data at any time by contacting us.
• Receive the personal information you provided in a structured, commonly used electronic format, or have it transferred to another organization where technically feasible.
• Withdraw your consent to our use of your information at any time, which may affect our ability to provide the service.

Automated Decisions

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
